After breakfast you may be heading for the coastal paths or beaches or you may wish to visit Cornwall's many attractions which include; golf, scuba, sailing, fishing, pony trekking, coastal walks, bird watching, wild life parks and lots more.
Cornwall has a fascinating history and has many sights reflecting this, you will hear legends of ghosts & smugglers and visit strange circles of granite stones.
The historic city of Plymouth, famous for the sailing of the Pilgrim Fathers to the Americas and Sir Frances Drake's battle with the Spanish Armada is only 20 minuets away across the river Tamar. The Barbican leads to Plymouth Hoe which has waterfront shops and restaurants, the aquarium and the old Eddystone Lighthouse.
Traveling south west you may wish to visit the Cathedral city of Truro or continue to the open cliff top theatre at Minnack, not forgetting of course Lands End the start or finish of many a famous journey by land & sea.

The Merchants House
Elizabethan merchants house with thematic display of local history and a reconstructed chemist shop.
The Royal Citadel
England's principal 17th century fortress built to protect Plymouth's harbour. Rampart walk with panoramic waterfront views, over 30 historical guns.

Local and natural history collections.

Yelverton Home of Sir Francis Drake. See Drake's drum. Exhibits and craft workshops.
Morwellham Quay
Tavistock's Award winning Visitor Centre, History explained. Skills and crafts. Heritage displays. We have had guests spend all day here and felt they had not seen it all.
Yelverton Paperweight Centre
Collection of antique and modern glass paperweights. Gifts, admission and parking free.
Dingles Steam Village
Lifton Industrial Heritage Museum. Working and static exhibits of steam engines and vintage machinery. Cafe on site.
Buckfast Abbey
A thousand years of history. Abbey destroyed by Henry VIII and rebuilt. Restaurant. Gifts and physic gardens.
